Recent data from the MCS shows that 1 in 10 homes in the Bassetlaw District now have solar panels installed.
The news comes as solar panel installations have soared since the energy crisis of recent encouraged homeowners to seek alternative solutions to reduce their energy spend. March saw the largest quantity of solar installations in the UK since December 2015 with people motivated by the rising costs of energy and falling prices of solar technology.
The Governments Smart Export Tariff has also made the investment more attractive, with exported energy prices rising under the SEG – homeowners can save on the electricity they purchase from the grid, but also get paid for giving it back!
